Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to practice in Story Gym. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

• Every activity works with taps, a keyboard, or a screen reader.
• A "Skip to content" link and a visible focus outline.
• Feedback and timer messages are read aloud when they appear.
• Story Shuffle cards can be moved with buttons, not just dragging.
• Timers are optional, off by default, and can be stopped at any time.
• Sounds always come with an on-screen message.
• Animations switch off when your device asks for reduced motion.
• Story X-Rays show every recording word for word as text.

Some Listening Lab recordings do not yet have a full written transcript, and the printable tester guide PDF is not fully tagged for screen readers. We are working on both.
